Or something like that.
Sunday night, one of my friends texted me to let me know that she and her husband had been in a car accident just south of Boise, Idaho. They were okay physically, but emotionally, I think they were taking it pretty hard. They've been having a string of terrible, awful luck that they really don't deserve. Both of them are both such good, stand-up people - I really look up to both of them.
But anyway, there wasn't a whole lot that I could do for them, but I felt so blessed to be counted as one of the wife's friends -- that she would feel comfortable enough to let me know what was going on. We haven't really been friends for very long, or really even known each other for very long.
But I'm grateful that she is my friend, and that when she was feeling down, she felt like she could turn to me for comfort--even though she knew that there wasn't much that I could do to help.
And just in general, I'm grateful for good friends. I really have been blessed to have wonderful friends throughout my whole life.
