You know you're going to have a great vacation

when you get to see this face every day:

We had simply the best time in Portland, OR visiting McKay, McKenna, and Grant.

Rich, especially, had a wonderful time. I swear he remembered Grant. Literally the second he saw Grant, Rich got super excited and started making his happy noises.

And he made his happy noises every time he and Grant were reunited after being separated for naps, bedtime, or whatever.

And by the end of our stay in Portland, Rich would get as excited to see McKenna or McKay as he would to see me or Tyler. (I even started to worry that he'd forget how much he liked his own mom and dad.)

Having Rich and Grant together was probably one of the most fun things I've ever seen in my life.

Wherever one was, the other (usually Rich), wasn't far behind.

Those boys got into anything and everything together. And I know Rich loved having so much space to crawl around in. (McKenna has made her home a lot more baby friendly than I have. And it helped that they are still in the process of acquiring furniture.)

Aren't those boys just so fun?

Rich was such a trooper traveling the 12+ hours to Portland.

He really traveled so well, only getting fussy a few times. I fully expected our drive to be long and terrible, but really, it was doable! (I'd even do it again. And again.)

Being back in Logan again feels so lonely now. It was so so nice to be with McKay, McKenna, and Grant! I think Rich even felt lonely for the first few days without his little buddy by his side.

Long story short: we can't wait to go back.

Also, Grant and Rich make the best of buds. And the cutest.
