Sometimes, all you have to do is look at him, and he will crack up.
Anyway, a couple of things happened that I wanted to write down because they were so funny.
1) This last weekend, we took a last-minute trip down to Provo to have our last hurrah with McKay, McKenna, and Grant before they move to Portland. Saturday night, Tyler and I started putting Rich down to bed together in McKay and McKenna's guest bedroom/Grant's nursery. I asked Tyler to grab a diaper for me so that I could change Rich before we swaddled him and put him down for the night. Unfortunately, Tyler tripped as he was tossing the diaper back to me, and instead of the diaper ending up in my hand, it landed right smack on Rich's forehead and bounced off. Tyler and I paused briefly to see how Rich would react to this--both of us thought he might cry from being startled. But instead, Rich busted up laughing. He thought it was the funniest thing. Tyler and I laughed about it for probably 10 minutes afterward. It was so so funny.
2)Tonight, after getting back home from Provo around 10 PM, Rich woke up as we transported him from the car to our apartment. So while Tyler and I got things ready to put Rich down to sleep in, we let Rich crawl around in his crib. As we went to grab Rich to finish getting him set for bed, Rich butted his head into one of the slats in the crib. I mean, he hit that crib hard. But again, instead of crying, Rich laughed and laughed. He thought it was so funny. Tyler and I just looked at each other for a moment, laughed, then put the Rich-boy down to bed.
3) And finally, Richie loves to jump. But I didn't know how much he loves jumping until this weekend when we didn't have our jumperoo. I mean, all anyone had to do to get Rich to smile was pick him up and help him stand on his feet so he could try to jump. (Though, since he wasn't really getting any air between his feet and the ground, maybe it's more like bouncing.) Anyway, it was so fun to watch him and help him get a little bit of joy out of life. Even if he didn't have his jumper.
I know, I know. These would be much more funny had you been there to witness what happened.
But that Rich-boy, he is just so dang cute.

the diaper story was my favorite. That's hilarious ;)
He sure is pretty dang cute. I think he'll have a pretty good sense of humor too. Enjoy it all. Time flies in the blink of an eye.
