I pretty much have spent the last two years of my life entirely indoors. After I graduated from BYU, I began working full-time at Novell, spending every day in an artificially lit building. My pregnancy in 2011 had me so sick I could barely function, let alone enjoy any outside time.
In fact, a lot of 2011 was spent either hunched over the toilet, or curled up in bed. Even after I got the anti-nausea medicine, I still felt a little. . . rickety. . . so I spent quite a bit of time indoors.
And now, finally, in March 2012, we are having some beautiful weather. And I'm not pumping 24/7. And I have extra energy now that I'm getting more sleep.
So I've been trying to go out on walks with Richie. While yes, he usually does fall asleep on our walks, I just love being outside--especially being outside with him. I love seeing him look around and take everything in. It just seems like (at least for the first little bit) he really is loving getting to be outside.
(I can't wait to take him to parks to play on the equipment!)
I love these walks.

Another cool thing is that Rich doesn't appear to be afraid of animals. Too early to know if that's going to stick, but he just doesn't act afraid of anything.
They say babies are only born with one fear...the fear of falling. All the rest they learn. With Richie's cushy life of parents who love him and take care of his every need...he still has nothing to fear. Life will take care of that later, but how wonderful he is getting such a secure foundation. So many babies don't.
I love your updates! It is so wonderful to see you as a mother, loving this sweet little guy! It is so great to see how happy you and Tyler are in your life right now. I'm so happy for you both and for Rich too. Such a great little family! :)
