Dear Cold,

Please go away.

Thanks,
Karen

So for the past few days, I've been battling a bit of a cold--I even came down with a low fever. That, along with a few other things, has kept me out of commission for the past few days, and let me tell you--I am ready to get back to feeling like myself again.

Also, for the past few months, it has been winter. And very cold in our apartment. The high outside today was somewhere around 59 degrees (at least in Salt Lake), and the temperature in our apartment has been around 67 degrees, and is, I am sure, going down as night falls.

All in all, I'm very ready for this cold season to be over.

I would like to give a shout out to my mom for reminding me how to make hot lemonade today. I made some for myself this afternoon while Tyler was in meetings, and it was more delicious than ever. And warm. It made me very happy.

So thanks, hot lemonade. For being delicious, warm, satisfying, etc., and generally mood improving altogether.

I wish I could send you our warm sunshine. Hot lemonade? I've never heard of that but it sounds good.

Oh Jill, I bet you would like hot lemonade! (Especially because you have fresh lemons in your backyard.)

You simply fill a microwaveable mug with about 2/3 cups of water and heat it up. (I usually heat it for about 1 min 30 sec). Then add the juice of one lemon to the hot water, and sweeten with honey to taste. (Sometimes I have to heat it a little more once the lemon juice and honey have been added.)

It's the best on sore throats. And it smells good.

I was just going to leave a comment asking for the hot lemonade recipe, but I see you left it here in your comments. I hope you feel better soon! I had a cold with a low fever that turned into a sinus infection last week, new one for me! :-(

Oh Heather!! That is the worst. You'll definitely have to try the hot lemonade and tell me what you think. I grew up on it, so I love it, but Tyler refuses to try it.

Hope you're feeling better now!
