I {Love} Provo Library

Last summer, Tyler got me into reading The Wheel of Time series (by Robert Jordan). It's a great fantasy series (but I won't go into all of that right now). I will say that one thing I loved was that it took me longer than a day to read each book in the series. In fact, most of the books have taken me about a week to get through (if I'm trying to be responsible).

But anyway, because of this series, we spent a lot of time at Borders books (which I also love, along with Barnes and Noble, and pretty much every book store out there).

But what this all meant was that I was spending lots of money. (If you add it all up over time, that is.)

And this summer, I decided to be a little more cost effective.  Since we live right across the street from the Provo Library, I decided to make use of the library card I got (and maybe should have been using all along) last summer.

And it has been glorious.

I have been reading to my heart's content, mostly focusing on the Agatha Christie collection in the library.

Anyway.

This morning, the {beloved} library had a book sale.

And I purchased SIX books (one of which I already had--though I didn't know it at the time).

All for the grand total of one dollar and forty cents. (If I hadn't gotten the repeat book, I would have only spent ninety cents).

The next library sale will be in November.

I am so there.

oh how I use to love the library. I guess I've gotten out of the habit over the years. If I wanted to know something, I would often go there and look up book after book. But google takes care of research for me now. Still, I miss the library...just going in there makes me feel good. The smell, the quiet, the feeling of school...I love it all.

Aunt Mar -- I bought two Agatha Christie books and two John Grisham books (for 15 cents each). One book of Grimm's Fairytales (50 cents) and what I thought was one of two prequels to the Wheel of Time series (but turned out to be just the second half of one of the books I already have, shortened to be a children's version (50 cents). Still, not too shabby, eh?

Jill -- I LOVE the library, but especially the one we have here in Provo. It was the original Brigham Young Academy. Now it has been expanded and is a library/reception center. It's absolutely beautiful. I'll have to take some pictures for you.
