An Update on Bones

Remember that job Tyler was applying for at the MTC? I'm sorry to announce that he did not get the job. He was one of the last four interviewees and one of two people asked to re-apply in a few months.

Out of 60 applicants, making it to the top 4 is pretty darn good, wouldn't you say?

At any rate, although we were disappointed, we think it will work out for the better. Tyler still needs to have an internship to graduate, and the MTC job wouldn't count for it. So he would have had to work full time at that job, then turn around and work another part-time job for internship. It would be do-able, but miserable. (And oh so lonely for me!)

In other news, Tyler got new glasses! (Sorry for those of you who have seen this pic before. I do not yet have my own picture of Tyler in his new glasses.)
Anyway, I love these glasses. Each time I see him in them, I swoon a little. (True story.) What can I say? I never thought glasses could look so good on someone. And Tyler really wears those glasses! (They definitely don't wear him.)

You should see him in a suit wearing those glasses. Freals. It's hott.

I'm glad you showed that picture because it tells me you like it!
I love his glasses too...but in a different way than you do :))

Took me a minute to figure out "freals" but I think I got it. Nice glasses. Glad you like them since you are likely the one person in the world to look at Tyler the most. I liked this photo of the two of you when I saw it on Jill's blog too...your skin looks very creamy, Karen.
The job thing will work out. It will, it will. You two are fantastic!
What color do you have in your kitchen? Random, I know.

Aunt Mar - That is very random! But to your question. We have no color in our kitchen.

Everything in our apartment is white.

Well, except the carpet. And the linoleum kitchen floor.
Well, and the oven is off-white.

And our furniture is not white.

But everything else is white. Oh. Except the counter tops. Light wood color. (Fake wood?)
And our black kitchen table (card table, which I ruined. But fixed with white duct tape.)

Sheesh. Maybe I should blog about the colors in our home! :)

Anyway, one day I'll have a place of my own that I can paint any way I want to!

Would you have any objections to something very colorful and bright for kitchen use? What are your thoughts on a tangerine color?

None at all! You know how I have a secret (rebellious?) passion for all shades of orange, right? I'd love it!
