Sometimes, it's just nice to get out of Provo, you know?

So, on Monday night, four of us decided to ditch Provo, and experience a different kind of life. We really just wanted to see what life would be like, with horses, in Scipio, Utah.

On our own, Tyler and I would never have been able to experience this, but luckily, McKay is dating McKenna-- who has family--in Scipio--with horses!!

Off we went!

We got the experience of a lifetime. McKenna's family was so nice to us.
Her uncle Randy had us help him catch the horses we would ride. We helped saddle (and unsaddle) them, we led the horses, and we rode them!

Throughout the whole process, Randy patiently explained everything. He also chatted with all of us, telling us about his family and his history.
We all had fun getting familiar with our horses.

I am terrible at taking pictures. . . but I really like this one of McKay and McKenna. (I was having a hard time seeing what my camera was showing me.) At any rate, both McKay and McKenna seem to be pretty natural horseback riders. Or maybe it is that McKenna has had more experience than the rest of us. . . and McKay is absolutely fearless.
While M-Snaps and McKenna rode off with Randy, Tyler decided to race the neighbor's dog. He does a pretty good job-- check it out! (Please excuse the poor narration. . . you are allowed to use your mute buttons. . .)

After taking care of the horses, we headed back to McKenna's grandparents' home after, for a delicious dinner. The food was almost all fresh (right off the ranch or a nearby garden) and it was SO good.
But man was I tired afterward! When we finally got back to Provo, Tyler and I decided to try to get a little more exercise in before bed. . . but I was too tired to do more than drudge along. Let me tell you, I slept well on Monday night.

It was the most fun I've had in ages.

Thank you, McKenna for taking us to Scipio for FHE!

So you had a good time with M-snaps and T-bone? Where did these names come from? I think your pics are excellent by the way. I'm totally jealous. I want to go horseback riding!!
