So, for my English class today, we had to read about two Mexican American authors. Their literature was fantastic. Easily today's subject matter was my favorite. Both women talked about language, and played with language, both in Spanish and English.
Is this not what I love the most?! Therefore, class today was awesome.
If I could stay in college forever, I'd just learn languages.
But I think that what fascinates me the most is the culture that accompanies the languages. I would LOVE to travel and see different cultures.. more than just see them, but know them. Especially the Hispanic culture.
I'd love to keep studying this stuff for forever.
But is it practical? I was thinking about looking in to maybe narrowing my English studies to Mexican-American literature or Chicano literature, or something like that, but how practical would that be? What job could I get with that? How would that benefit my life or my career?
I guess I'll just have to study it on my own.
But I'll keep an eye out for what I could do with that.
What better than combining my two loves? English and Spanish??
