Yogurt Lovin'

Rich isn't the biggest fan of milk. He won't drink it straight, and it's only recently that he'll eat cereal with milk.

So how do we get him his dairy, you ask? String cheese and yogurt!

Now, Rich feeding himself string cheese is no problem. But feeding himself yogurt can be a little bit crazy.

See?

But he loves to try to feeding himself. And he is so proud of himself when he gets to. For the longest time, he had no interest in forks or spoons. But finally, he's starting to realize that he can do more with these utensils we've been giving him than throw them around or bang them on the table.

So yes, I know that many eighteen-month olds can feed themselves already, and we're a little behind on that milestone, but we'll get there. Hopefully before kindergarten. :)

He is heads and shoulders above Grace in the self feeding department. She uses the spoon for about 2 seconds before she dips her whole hand in the yogurt, applesauce, etc. and licks it off. I don't usually give her those foods because they are such a mess (which is probably why her spoon skills are so awful!)

Why not try "gogurt"? It's in a tube so he can suck on it.

Mar, I thought about gogurt after this. But, I haven't decided if that would actually be any less messy.Rich would either love it, or spray it everywhere.

He is adorable! And as far as his eating manners go...he looks like he is doing just fine! Smash is 16 and, well, you've eaten with him, right?! Ha, ha!
Love you all!
