Foray into foods & other things

First of all, thank you to everyone for your advice concerning rice cereal for Rich. I've tried a few different things, but the only way I can get Rich to take rice cereal is in a bottle, which is discouraged these days.

But, we have had success with carrots! Richie seems to love carrots. There were a few times when it seemed like I couldn't get the carrots into his mouth fast enough. 

And this was the result:

I should mention that I can't wait for our high chair to get here. (C'mon Amazon!)

One of my goals for this year is to get outside more, as well as take Richie outside more. I mean, I basically spent all of 2011 indoors, and I have missed the sunlight. However, it's still pretty cold, so I have a hard time being motivated to go outside for more time than it takes to get the mail. 

But never fear. We're getting there.

And sometimes, Rich just looks so dang cute, we have to take pictures.

Lately, Richie and I have been getting a lot of use out of the rocking chair that McKay and McKenna gave me for my birthday last year. Sometimes I like to just sit in it with him and talk to Tyler while Tyler should be studying or working. 

And sometimes, Richie falls asleep while I do. (Ok. This only happened once. But it was still awesome.)

Anyway. I just love this little boy!
