It's back!
The trackpad had to be replaced, but now it works even better than it ever has before! (At least, it feels like it.)
Thanks to the warranty I purchased when I bought my computer, the labor and part were free. (That being said, I don't know how much it would have cost had I not had the warranty. BUT, if anything else does happen to go wrong, or I need any other support, I'm still covered for another year.)
Anyway, I'm so glad to have my computer back in action. I've really missed it these past few weeks.
