after a two-week long vacation to Texas, the land that I love?
And wouldn't you think that two weeks would be enough to make me feel like I got a good Texas dose? But alas, the more I was there, the more things I wanted to do there. . . and couldn't! (And I realized that the only way to do those things would be to live there.)
Things we did in Texas:
1. Stayed up well past midnight every night
2. Slept in till 10 (or later) almost every day
3. Hung out with my wonderful family (and made friends with step-siblings)
4. Shot off rockets
5. Played with playdough
6. Went shopping!! (I love/miss shopping. It's just not as fun in Utah.)
7. Ate at La Hacienda Ranch, PF Changs, and the Lloyd Bed and Breakfast (and much more!)
8. Tried my mom's new chili recipe (delicious, even though I don't like chili)
9. Read comic books
10. Played on the Wii
11. Played games
12. Changed my name at Bank of America
13. Saw the movie Tron (I loved it. And I loved that it was clean!)
14. Slept in four different houses
15. Got lost on the highways (I really thought I was on 121, not I-35)
16. Watched the Doctor Who Christmas special
17. Reveled in the delicious Texas sunsets
18. Avoided wearing winter coats (though, I may have regretted that decision once or twice)
19. Learned that packing light is much preferable to overpacking, but that even when you overpack, you might still leave your hairbrush at home
And much much more. Really, we had a blast!
But this morning, I was so tired (waking up before 11 will do that to ya), I could not remember my morning routine. I had to talk myself through it.
All in all, I consider the trip a success. But I'm ready for a stay-at home-vacation now.
