I know that in the corporate world, there's a lot of gifting that goes around. Tickets to a sports game, or going golfing at a country club, going out for a fancy lunch, etc.
But when you're an intern (and not some fancy-business guy) these perks can be few and far between. Or if there are perks, they are minimal.
And really, that's just fine. We're not in the big leagues yet.
But yesterday, one of Tyler's clients (who owns a restaurant in town) not only bought (gave?) Tyler free lunch, but he gave Tyler SIX coupons for free lunch or dinner.
For us college students, this is huge!! And with how filling the meals are (I know because Tyler shared his free lunch), this means SIX free dinners for the both of us. Six future date nights. Six chances to try out sides or drinks, or some other fun thing we usually forego.
And this food is good stuff. Cafe Paesan, everyone. Italian bistro.
So to Tyler's client who gave us these vouchers, thank you. Thank you very very much.
