I think it was in May that Tyler and I decided to make a food calendar. We'd pre-decide what we wanted for dinner for the whole month.
And I LOVE this method of dinner prep. We had been going to the store a couple of times a week (sometimes a couple times a day!) and I was tired of being in a food funk.
So, we've been pretty good about sitting down together to figure out what we want to make and when. (Which gives me room to figure out when I want to try something new.)
But, October has been crazy. Tyler and I haven't had a chance to make our food calendar for this month - and dinner has never been so lame! (It's true. We've had cereal a few times this month for dinner.)
PLUS our dinner budget has been suffering. In September, I did a HUGE month-long grocery shopping extravaganza, and bought all the non-perishables we would need for the month. (Genius idea, by the way.)
So tonight., finally, I have a dinner plan. And I'm stoked to try out this new recipe . . . for Vegetarian Pizza. (Or, as Tyler and I will be calling it, in honor of Halloween, Vegescarean Pizza.)
Check it out here.
Doesn't it look/sound amazing?? I'm practically salivating just thinking about it.

I love this whole concept.
I don't know if Tyler remembers this, but years ago he made me a menu for the week and asked if I would put it on the fridge and makes those meals he had listed. I did, and it was great! I think I have that menu somewhere.
Did you make your own crust or use the premade crust as suggested by the recipe? If you need a crust recipe, I might just have one you would like.
Let me know.
I made my own crust. (So much less expensive!) But, I would love to try your recipe, Aunt Mar! The one I'm using is from Tyler's cooking class he took a couple of years ago at BYU. It's simple, and delicious! I would love to see the differences between your recipe and mine.
veggie and wheat free???
Mar - Well, if you made your own crust (sans wheat) you could eat it!
Click on the link and check out the recipe. I think you can have everything there. (Maybe not salsa. I don't know. Some people substituted salsa for diced tomatoes.)
Let me know if you can eat it!
