To My Dad, With Love

Often, I have been told that I am just like my dad--except for the fact that I'm a girl. Each time I'm told that I'm like my dad, I always feel highly complimented; I love to hear that we are so similar.

My dad and I connect well on a lot of things. We have many of the same interests, the same likes and dislikes, the same motivations, etc. For example, if my dad liked a movie or a book or a video game, chances are, I'll like it too.

And whenever new technology (phones, computers, game systems, etc.) comes out, Dad and I always like to learn about it, and if we can, buy it.

Growing up, I really learned to appreciate and admire my dad.

And there are things about him that I try to emulate. My dad is honest and straightforward. He works hard. He loves his family. He values life. He strives to do what's right and correct any past wrongs. He knows that he has a Savior and a loving Father in Heaven. He's smart, and good at figuring things out. He gives great advice. He's a good story-teller. He's well-liked. He always does his best.

To make a long story short: I am proud of my dad, and so glad to be his daughter.

No matter what, I will always love you.

Happy Father's Day!
