Textbooks

Many of you may have heard (via facebook) how excited I am to sell back my massive load of textbooks.

So I decided to do just that yesterday.

I filled a recyclable grocery bag with my books, and Tyler took me to campus.

"You better return with that bag filled with money," he told me as I got out of the car.
I laughed and said I'd do my best.

EXCEPT that textbook sell back actually starts today (not yesterday).

And Tyler was off to a meeting. I called him for help, but decided he should go to that meeting anyway. I told him not to worry about me, that I'd make it home ok.

So I had to lug that bag home. WHY didn't I use my backpack?

I looked ridiculous. The bag probably weighs 50 lbs.

I slung it on to my back, held the handles with my left hand, and supported the bottom with my right.

To add to my foolishness, minutes after I finally made it home, Tyler came home, saying he'd driven all around looking for me and had called me repeatedly because he wanted to help me instead of go to the meeting. (Which is very typical of Tyler. I knew he would want to help. I should have just pulled my phone out and waited for him.)

*Sigh*

At least I'll get to sell them back today. (Right?)

Doesn't that kind of stuff stink?: I hate it when that happens, but it always works out in the end. I had put together a missionary package & was all ready to ship and could not for the life of me find it. So... I went shopping again. I couldn't find a good box, so now I'm eating it. Someday my nephew will get this package.

I think you two are very mindful of each other and that is such a nice thing when there are so many selfish ones out there. Hope you filled your piggy bank! If anything, that trek you made with the books entitles you to The CREAMERY, right?!!

PS: I loved your dessert recipe & catching up.
