We were a movie-going family. I remember far more Saturdays spent at the movie theater with my family than most anything else. (I guess that seems a little sad, but I really loved it. Still do, actually.)
But becoming part of the Heasley family has required me to become a board game player. I really have enjoyed this aspect of the Heasley family--we always have fun when we play games together.
However, the Heasley brothers are ridiculously good at board games. Sometimes I play just to humor them because I know I don't have a shot at winning. (Like when we play Clue. Or Monopoly.)
So last night, when McKay brought over Ticket to Ride, I decided to play along with him and Tyler--knowing that I'd probably finish last.
O, me of little faith!
I won. I skunked 'em. Ok, so I got lucky a few times.
But McKay had the longest train.
And Tyler was able to complete all of his missions. (Is that what they are called?)
Except that McKay's longest train only beat mine by one train. And I used all of my trains.
And I completed all of my missions too.
I finished 19 points ahead though for every one win I have, the Heasley brothers will probably beat me a million times, that one victory will feel SO good.
Thanks for playing, guys!

What a fun and goofy post. Congrats on your hard fought win. Maybe you'll get lucky and win again. I miss our movie Saturdays by the way. And we did play board games. My favorite was UNO. I guess that's technically a card game though.... I still hate monopoly. That game NEVER ENDS!!!
I perhaps anyone salute your victory!! Congrats!

WE LOVE Ticket to Ride! We have quite a few great players here at our house...I believe Meg won the last game...
We love board games, card games, outdoor games, does that make us gamers?! Ha, ha!
Love to you.
