So... I think that I ought to post about my yesterday.
I got to see the prophet!! He came and spoke at devotional. It was so wonderful to hear him speak, and see him in person! I love that man very much. As he left the Marriott Center (after he finished speaking) I teared up. I wished that he didn't have to leave so soon.
Afterwards, I went to my buddy Jeff's apartment for a tuna sandwich. (Delish.) When I got home, my roommates and I made smoothies at our FHE brothers' apartment... and lunch for them, too.
By this time in the afternoon, I was SO tired. I had a killer headache, so I decided to take a nap. (This is dangerous. Naps are no good when you also want to be productive...) I slept far too long, and woke up with only about a half an hour before I had to go meet with the bishop. But, I had enough time to get ready and go.
When I got home, my apartment was busy! One of my roommates had family visiting, so I went outside to study.
Long story short, it was 10 o'clock when I finally got the chance to print off some homework. (26 pages of reading...) However, my printer just couldn't handle that vast amount of information. My laptop froze, and for the next hour and a half, I tried to revive it. At 11:40, Michelle suggested that we run to the library to get it printed off. (The library closes at midnight.) So we ran... and failed. We got there in time, but the document didn't load.
We came home and decided to impose on our FHE brothers. Michelle and I waited outside their apartment for my homework to print. After it was done (finally!), we sat and chatted.
But when we tried to go home, we were locked out!!!!!!
We tried calling our roommates, but it was no use. They were asleep.
So we broke in. It was ridiculously simple. We removed the screen from in front of the window, opened it, and climbed in.
So easy. So quiet. So scary!! Luckily, we've been given wooden broom-handle type sticks of wood to put in the window sill to prevent such a break-in. Which will ALWAYS be there, from now on.
But it was a fun adventure.
I mean, how many other people get to break into their own apartments??
Anyway, it was a fun day yesterday, adventure-filled and wonderful. (And a little stressful.)But good overall.
'Til next time. :)

But if you install the broom handle sticks, how will you get into your apartment next time??
Marilyn thought of the same question that I did...maybe you should use them when you are there and then when you leave, you could take them out...
that way, you have a way in, always, and no one can harm you when you are at home. Just a thought.
I would love to hear more of what the Prophet said on Tuesday!
There is really nothing quite as wonderful as seeing the Prophet in person.
I am also worried that every time you leave your apartment, you have some kind of climbing adventure...you know that you are surrounded by trees and mountains, if you really need to climb!
Breaking and Entering? Oh my!! Sounds like your good at it. I guess college is teaching you something! Joking. Glad you made it in safe and sound. Dad
